What Are Medicare Lifetime Reserve Days?

When you’re sick or injured and your doctor admits you to a hospital or long-term care facility, it’s important to understand what your costs and coverage will look like. If you have original Medicare, Part A will cover your hospital stay, including your room, meals, nursing care, medications, and other needed supplies. For each inpatient hospital stay, you’re eligible for up to 90 days of coverage.
